Physicians may miss flu vaccination opportunities for Medicare patients
Only 50.5% of Medicare beneficiaries ages 19 or older had received an influenza vaccine during the 2018 to 2019 flu season, and vaccination rates were significantly higher among White beneficiaries than Black or Hispanic beneficiaries.

Adults with subjective cognitive decline were more likely to report 4 modifiable risk factors for Alzheimer's disease
Among survey respondents ages 45 years and older, the most common modifiable risk factor for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias was hypertension (49.9%), followed by not meeting guidelines for aerobic physical activity (49.7%), obesity (35.3%), and diabetes (18.6%).

Fourth vaccine dose 62% effective against severe COVID-19 in month after receipt
Retrospective data from Israel showed that in people ages 60 years and older, an additional booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine was 55% effective against symptomatic disease and 68% effective against hospitalization.
