Quitting smoking after early-stage lung cancer diagnosis associated with improved survival
Patients who quit smoking after being diagnosed with early-stage non-small-cell lung cancer had a 33% decrease in all-cause mortality and a 28% reduction in disease progression compared with those who continued smoking, a Russian prospective study found.
