ACP will offer a virtual, one-day course, “Optimizing Pain Management in an Environment of Opioid De-Escalation,” on Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. The course provides education for internists on the latest strategies and best practices in pain management.
Expert faculty will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- nonpharmacologic options,
- opioid treatment,
- opioid use disorder,
- the role of medical cannabis in pain management,
- advice on prescribing buprenorphine,
- interprofessional team care, and
- effectively engaging patients and their caregivers.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during breakout sessions and a live Q&A session with experts in the field of pain management. Registration is free to all ACP members. For non-members, there is a $250 registration fee. CME/MOC is available and fulfills many state requirements for pain management and opioid CME.
